In this lesson I have discussed about 1 st chapter of class 6 GEOGRAPHY NCERT that is earth and our solar system.
Our solar system includes sun , eight planets ,asteroids , setellites and many other things .
Also I have discussed that why earth is only planet of our solar system that is having favourable environment that support life because it has temperature that is neighther cold nor hot , favourable atmosphere and water .
So all these things make earth favourable for life .
Also I have discussed about asteroids.

The Earth in The Solar System

In this lesson I have discussed about globe that is model of earth.
Also I have discussed about an imaginary line passing through centre of earth joining south pole and North pole it is called as axis of earth .
As we all know earth is tilted a little bit. And it revolves around the sun in tilted manner.
After that I have discussed about latitudes that is parallel lines on earth .
I discussed important latitudes on globe that is tropic of cancer, equator, tropic of Capricorn,arctic circle and Antarctic circle.
After that I have described various heat zones of earth on basis of amount of heat received by them .

Globe: Latitudes and Longitudes

In this lesson I have discussed about longitude.
So these are the lines passing through North pole meeting at south pole .
These longitudes are deciding earth in two hemisphere that is east and west hemisphere.
Now Greenwich meredian is taken as prime meredian  that is 0°.
So extent of meredian is from 180° W to 0° to 180°E.
Also I have discussed about how local time and standard time both are different from each other.

Longitude and Time Zone

In this lesson I have discussed about motions of earth.
So earth is having two kind of motions that is rotation and Revolution.
Rotation is movement of earth. on its own axis it brings day and night changes.
Revolution is motion of earth around sun in its orbit and this motion brings seasonal changes.
So these both motion are very important.
I have also discussed some important terms like. equinox,summer solstice
And winter solstice.

In this lesson I have discussed about maps .
Maps are convenient way of understanding any town or place on earth.
There are three types of maps 
1 physical maps
2 political map
3 thematic maps 
On basis of which kind of information is portrayed 
by that map.
Also we have to use perticular scale to show same distance on map like 500 km = 1 cm like wise on the paper.
