Overview of the course

It explains formation of covalent bond, valence electrons, bond pairs and lone pairs calculation of various compounds. Also includes limitations of octet rule.

Covalent bond and octet rule

This lesson explains lattice energy, its calculation and heat of formation. It also covers properties of ionic compounds.

Ionic bond and Calculation of Lattice energy

It explains various factors that affect covalent character in an ionic bond.
Also includes explanation of application of fazan rule.

Fazan Rule

It explains formation of sigma and pie bonds in a compound. Also covers types of overlapping and the associated nuclear axis with respect to overlapping.

Valence bond theory

This lesson describes geometry and shape of different compounds having lone pairs and bond pairs in them.
