Overview

It describes Biological concept of species by Ernst mayr. Also includes alpha, beta, omega, chemo and cyto taxonomy. Conceptual division of five kingdoms and criteria being used. Short note on six kingdom classification .

Describes cell wall, cell membrane and cytoplasm of prokaryotes. Also classification of bacteria according to motility and shape is included. Explains structure of flagella and pilli. 
Details about cell envelope and cytoplasm of Eubacteria along with difference between Gram positive and Gram negative cell wall.
