Section 9 of the “Civil Procedure Code” explicates the jurisdiction of civil courts in India. The Section reads “subject to provisions herein contained courts shall have the jurisdiction to adjudicate on all suits of a civil nature barring those the cognizance of which are impliedly or expressly barred.”
