Class 6th Summary

This is the overview course in which I have discussed the objectives of making this course and who are the target audience. List of all the lessons that are being covered in the course is also given.
Note that each of the lesson ends with a special slide named 'Time to think and Write' which contains one question relevant to that chapter. That is for the answer writing practice for  both CSE Aspirant and class 6th Students.

Overview of Course

In this lesson, I have detailed the topics Food variety and it's source as Plants and Animals. I also have talked about Herbivores, Carnivores and Omnivores.

Food: Where Does it Come From?

This lesson focuses on the nutrients present in food items. Also, tests to identify Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates are discussed. I have also talked about the need of these nutrients, their sources and deficiency disease caused in lack of these nutrients and minerals.

Components of Food

In this lesson, three units for preparation of our clothes i.e. Fibre, Yarn and Fabric, are discussed. I also have summarised types of fibres as Natural and Synthetic and the complete process of conversion from fibres to Yarn and then Yarn to fabric. History of clothing materials has also been discussed

Fibre to Fabric

This lesson deals with the grouping of different materials according to their properties (Appearance, Hardness, Solubility, Float or Sink and Transparency)

Sorting Materials into Groups

The lesson deals with the different methods of Separation of substances in detail.I have also talked about the purpose of Separation. Saturated and supersaturated solution have been discussed here.

Separation of Substances

The lesson deals with the daily changes all around us and grouped  as Reversible and Irreversible changes. The expansion property of metal with temperature is also talked in this lesson.

Changes Around Us

This depicts the 7th chapter of SCIENCE NCERT CLASS 6, Getting to Know Plants. In this chapter,  complete understanding of Herbs, Shrubs, Trees, Climbers, Creepers are discussed. Different parts of a plant- STEM, LEAF, ROOT, FLOWER are also discussed. Parts of leaf (Petiole, Lamina, Veins, Midrib, Leaf Venation & Transpiration) , Types of roots (Tap root, Lateral root, Fibrous root) and Parts of flower (Petals, Sepals, Stamens, Pistil, Anther, Filament, Style, Stigma, Ovary, Ovules) are very well discussed.

Getting To Know Plants

The lesson describes the 8th chapter BODY MOVEMENT of class 6 NCERT SCIENCE including Joints, Types of joint, Ball & Socket join, Pivotal join, Hinge joint, Fixed joint, Backbone, Ribcage, Skull, Shoulder joint, Pelvic Bones, Cartilage, Muscle. It also describes the movement of Earthworm, Snail, Snakes, Cockroach, Birds and Fish.

Body Movement

This is the 9th chapter detailing about the organism, their habitat & adaptation. Terrestrial and aquatic habitats are described here with beautiful explaination of biotic and abiotic components.

The living organisms and their surroundings

In this lesson, I have talked about the definition of one metre, the SI unit and various other units of distance measurement. Also the conversation of various units is talked about. Difference between distance and displacement is talked very clearly.

Motion and Measurement of Distances

The lesson beautifully describes about Luminous bodies, transparency, shadows, mirror and reflection.

Light,Shadow and Reflections

One of the very interesting lessons is Electricity and circuits. In this lesson, describing about Electricity very smoothly, I have also done postmortem of bulb, electric cell and electric circuit. The ways of working of a switch have been detailed here.
Electric conductor, Insulator and semiconductor are also discussed very beautifully.

13th chapter of fun with magnet in which I have explained about magnet, discovery of magnet, poles of magnet, magnetic and non-magnetic materials, Earth as a magnet, finding direction with freely suspended magnet and Artificial magnet, Electromagnet and demagnetization.

In this lesson, I have detailed about source and availability of water,uses and WATER CYCLE,clouds and it's formation, Hail, Flood and Draught. Water conservation, Air and Garbage and it's management have been depicted very clearly in this last lesson of the course.
