This lesson explains the various properties of solids and liquids.

Solids and Liquids

This lesson explains the properties of gases. An activity is also explained to show that solids and liquids cannot be compressed whereas gases can be compressed easily. Some MCQs are also discussed to provide a recap of the topics covered so far.

The lesson explains the process of diffusion with the help of simple examples. The lesson also introduces the viewer with the two units of temperature used for measuring temperature.

The lesson explains the effect of change of temperature on the physical state of matter. The four processes related to change of state of matter i.e. , melting , boiling , condensation and freezing are discussed in great detail.

The lesson explains the phenomenon of evaporation and the factors affecting the evaporation. The lesson explains the effect of cooling caused by evaporation with the help of simple examples. An activity to show the presence of water vapours in air is also demonstrated.
