Outlook of the course

National Movement which was led by the congress party plays a key role in getting Independence to our Nation.

Here in this video you get a the National Movement which was led by the congress party in three phases that is Moderate Phase,Extremist phase and Gandhian phase

First with respect to Moderates who Never thought to involve mass participation in the movement does not got much result even they only thought for Dominion status and not for independence 

Next is the Extremists phase who has changed their policies of fight with the britishers and mass participation can be seen only with respect to urban upper classes 

And last is the Gandhian phase where large mass participation can be seen

This video also gives emphasis on other important movements like split of congress,Simon's commission,Lucknow session of congress where Lucknow pact and Lucknow Merger took place

National Movement led by the Congress Party

Apart from the National Movement led by the Congress party there were many Revolutionary movements in the 19th and 20th century.

National Movement which is by full of revolts and movements led by people in order to revive Independence where we can see blood shed by people and In this lesson, we are going to see the movements which have took place in the individual parts of the country 

Generally, Most of the National Movement is in the regime of congress leaders but there were much more leaders who fought individually and brought awareness to people of India to join their hands together to fight against the atrocities of the Britishers.

In this lesson, we not only look about the revolts made in India but also look about the revolutionaries abroad who shows their patriotism by their journals, like Bakimji Cama who wrote Vandemataram and she is the first person to hoist Our National flag in Foreign and she hoisted it in France. 

By this lesson, one can able to have a view about the Revolutionary movements during this period.

Revolutionary Movements from the 19th and 20th Century

Socio-Religious Reforms movements play a vital role in making India progressive while still Nation is in the hands of British rule.

And the reforms tried to eradicate these by uprooting from its roots. Although they have contributed their part in reforms still many of them prevail.

Here in this lesson we discuss the reforms movements including reformers over the time with their journals and at last critical evaluation of the reform movement is done

Firstly social evils found at this time were discussed and next various movements like Brahmno Samaj, Arya samaj, Theosophical Society and Rama Krishna Mission, mutt established by Swami Vivekandana is well discussed 

Some of the other reformers like Gopala Krishna Gokule and others who strived to Remove Ignorance in  lives of the people were well discussed 

So by seeing this lesson one can have a sound knowledge of Socio-Religious reform movements of the 19th and 20th  century.

During the British rule there were widespread ignorance and under privileged Situations

This video Explains the Administrative, Educational, Economic and social policies of Britishers of which some became to boon to India like promoting western education and some became a bane, like their imperialist and economic policies.

There were many revolts and Movements like Sepoys revolt, peasant and caste movements during the colonial legacy.

This video showcases the events happened during this period.

Firstly about the sepoys revolts, this video shows the initiation oof the revolt by sepoys of the 34th Native Infantry because of introduction of Enfield Rifles and more over there where many other causes for the Ignition of the revolt which where given in depth including the causes of failure of revolt as well as a conclusion

Next is the peasant revolt where peasant fought against the Britishers due to the imperial policies of the Britishers like Land revenue systems which imposed the higher rate of taxes, even we can see Mahatma Gandhi involving in the peasant movements like Champaran Satyagraha.

Next is the caste movements which is actually not against the Britishers but it is an anti-brahmanical movement

By end of this session, one can get familiar with the movement and revolts which can be taken for independence but these became an initiation to get Sampurna Swaraj.
