This is an overview of the course on Magnetism and Matter. This course is mostly theoretical in nature however it cannot be neglected as many a times a direct question from these topics has been asked and can be asked in future.

Overview

In this lesson we'll discuss in detail about the bar magnets. We'll also see how to calculate net magnetic field at a given point on equatorial axis and at any point along a given axis. Just like magnetic moment in a current carrying loop, there's a magnetic moment for a bar magnet as well. But from where will we account for the current in the formula?
