This lesson is in continuation of the previous lesson in which the comparison between Federal and Unitary features of Indian Constitution were being discussed. This lesson further discusses the comparison on the principles of Divison of Power, powers of Rajya Sabha, the feature of Autonomy of States, Financial Independence, the feature of Amendability.

This lesson talks about why Indian constitution adopted both Unitary and Federal features. This lesson deals with all the facts and aspects related to landmark judgement of the SR Bommai case. As the lesson begins, Bhavin takes you through the background of this case. Then he sheds light on the slew of proclamations occurred due to this case in various states of India. The real-time incidents which fall under violation of secularism are also discussed. The power of article 356 is also described in the end.

This lesson is in continuance with the previous unit which dealt with the facts related to S.R Bommai case. One can come across the scope of judicial review of article 356 (1) in detail. Then this case is discussed with the reference to article 74 (2). The authority of union governance to warn state governments under article 355 are also discussed.

Part II - Gain Complete Insights into S. R Bommai Case

With reference to SR Bommai case the discussion continues in this lesson too. Here, Bhavin throws light on some more facts discussed in the supreme court about this case. He explains the views of court on appropriate time for the dissolution of legislative assembly and powers of a supreme court to revive legislative assembly. Lastly, he also tells how the victory at the center will not affect the state government even after having the ​majority.

Part III - Gain Complete Insights into S. R Bommai Case

In this course so far Bhavin has brought up various factors involving the relationship of center and state governments. In this lesson, he has come with the concepts which are relating to the center and state governments administrative relationships. As the lesson begins the light is thrown upon article 73 where the executive powers of the union list and of other residuary matters are discussed. Then he explains how parliament may confer the power or impose duties on state officer under article 258(2). Then he shifts his focus on explaining the executive powers of state list under articles like article 162 and article and article 258 (A). Finally, he throws light on the concurrent list under the article 73 and 162.

In this lesson, Bhavin discusses furthermore aspects pertaining to the union- state administrative relationship. He highlights in depth on how judicial proceedings are carried out in between the center and state. He also explains the directions by the ​union to states according to the article 256.

Part II Gain Insights into Union - State Administrative Relations

This lesson deals with the continuation of the topic Union- State Administrative relations which were discussed so far. As this lesson starts Bhavin explains the duty of the union according to the article 355. He briefs about the entry 1 that is the defense of India and every part of it, entry 2 that is armed forces of the union and entry 2A which is the development of armed forces in any state in the aid of civil powers. He also highlights matters of military or national importance according to the article 257. Lastly, he throws light on how parliament can declare the highways or waterways to be national highways or national waterways​ under article 257.

Part III Gain Insights into Union - State Administrative Relations

This lesson majorly concentrates on the remaining important aspects related to union- state administration relationships which haven't been discussed so far. As the lesson begins, he explains the coordination of executive powers under the light of article 257. Then he describes the cost of the following direction. According to article 350(A), how the ​president can issue directions to any state for securing provisions of adequate facilities for instruction is also discussed further in-depth.

Part IV Gain Insights into Union- State Administrative Relations

In this lecture, Bhavin first discuses how and what role does taxation plays in state building. Then he goes  onto explain how and why taxes have been divided between union and States. Finally he discusses intricate details of the terms and provisions mentioned in  the constitution, which helps to simplify articles of  the constitution related Federal finances.
