इस कोर्स में हम एशियन गेम्स 2018 के बारे अध्ययन करेंगे।
जो इस प्रकार से हैं -
इंडोनेशिया की राजधानी जकार्ता और पालेमबांग में 18वें एशियाई खेलों (एशियन गेम्स) 18 अगस्त से 02 सितंबर 2018 तक के बीच खेला जायेगा।

इस मौके पर गूगल ने डूडल बनाकर एशियन गेम्स 2018 को सेलिब्रेट किया है। गूगल ने अपने डूडल में एशियन गेम्स में खेली जानी वाली खेलों को स्लाइड शो के जरिए पेश किया है।

18 अगस्त 2018 को भारतीय समयानुसार शाम 5.30 बजे से उद्घाटन समारोह में भालाफेंक खिलाड़ी नीरज चोपड़ा तिरंगा थामे भारतीय दल की अगुवाई की।

एशियाई खेलों में एशिया के 45 देशों के लगभग 11,000 खिलाड़ी ने भाग लिया। इन सभी खिलाड़ियों के बीच 40 खेलों की 465 स्पर्धाओं में भिड़ंत होगी।

एशियाई खेलों के इतिहास में पहली बार दो शहर साझा रूप से मेजबानी कर रहे हैं - जकार्ता और पालेमबांग में।

जकार्ता जहां देश की राजधानी है वहीं पालेमबांग दक्षिणी सुमात्रा प्रोविंस की राजधानी है।

जकार्ता में इससे पहले वर्ष 1962 में भी एशियाई खेलों का आयोजन हो चुका है।
