In this second rule of subject verb agreement , we will see that if the sentence has a phrase beginning with the word 'of', the subject will be situated before the word 'of' . This rule however has a very important contradiction. Please check it out. :)

Rule 3 - Nouns joined by 'and' (in Hindi)

In this lecture we see that when two nouns joined by and represent one idea, the verb used will be singular. Watch the lecture to find more.

Rule 4 - Nouns joined by 'and' having similar ideas (in Hindi)

Here we see that when two subjects are joined by connectors like 'as well as' 'together with' 'unlike', etc. the verb will according to the first subject

Rule 5 - When connectors such as 'as well as..', 'unlike..' join two nouns (in Hindi)

In this rule we see that when the subjects are connected by 'either .....or' 'neither...nor',or' and so on, the verb will be according to the subject closest to it. Hence this rule is called 'The Rule of Proximity'

In this rule we see that when two singular nouns are joined by 'and' and also 'each' is used before them both, the verb used will be singular.
