It is located in the base of fore brain.
It releases two types of hormones
Releasing hormones and 
inhibitory Hormones 
Which will further act on pituitary gland.

Adrenal medulla which secrete adrenaline and nor adrenaline.
And adrenal cortex which secrete

Insulin and glucagon.

Estrogen and progesterone.
Estrogen is secreted by growing follicles while progesterone is secreted by corpus luteum.
