Simplex method of finding feasible solutions in Linear Programming Problem with example. The First step is to introduce slack variables. Next is to assign values to the slack variables.  3rd to form the initial iteration to find pivot row, pivot column and the pivot element. Any few steps followed to find the optimum solution.

Vogel's approximation method is used to find the initial basic feasible solution for transportation method. Here we first consider the difference of first 2 least values, then find the maximum of the difference and then its corresponding least cell value. The cell value is multiplied with the least of demand and supply to give the cost value of that iteration.
