Yes, the UCSC Test is completely free to attempt. There is no registration fee or hidden cost involved.
How do I register for the test?
You can register by clicking the 'Enroll for Free' button on this page, or through the Unacademy website/app using your registered mobile number. Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation with further instructions on how to attempt the test
Who can enroll for the UCSC Test?
Any UPSC CSE aspirant — irrespective of your current stage of preparation, coaching background, or medium (English/Hindi) — can register and attempt the UCSC Test.
Where can I attempt the test?
Online, via the Unacademy website or app — works on both desktop and mobile. Make sure you have a stable internet connection
What is the format of the test?
The test consists of 50 multiple-choice questions with four options (A, B, C, D) carrying 2 marks each. It features a negative marking of $1/3$rd marks for wrong answers and no penalty for unattempted questions.
What happens if I am late?
Rankings are awarded only to learners who complete the test within the live window. We recommend joining a few minutes early.
What happens if someone cheats?
After results are announced, Unacademy reviews all top-ranking attempts for fair play. Learners found violating test integrity guidelines will be disqualified and forfeit any rewards
When and how will I know my rank/result?
Your rank and score will appear on your screen after the test gets finished.
Do I have to give the test twice, once in each shift?
No. Two shifts are offered only so you can pick whichever time works better for you. You attempt the test only once, in one shift.
