This course deals with the concept of chemical process control and Process modeling and introduces several examples to illustrate the same.

Process Dynamics and Control

The course is designed as per the GATE syllabus. Part A consists of basics of the subjects like process modelling, Laplace transforms, dynamics of the systems and topics from Instrumentation viz sensors, transducers and control valves. The course will cover good amount of numericals which will help in better understanding of the topics.

Instrumentation and Process Control-Part A: GATE (Chemical)

Chemical processes constitute strongly nonlinear systems and for such systems, multiple steady state solutions typically exist. Stability of a chemical process plants is a must concern for every design engineer. This course will include the stability criterions and the methods used such as Routh and Bode Stability criterions. For a stable process the procedure of tuning the parameters have also been discussed here. So this course will really help the aspirants to bulid up a concept for the stability analysis.

Stability Analysis of Control Systems

this is second part of the course process dynamics and control. it will cover the part on control valve, controllers, frequency response and advanced control strategy

Part 2 - Process Dynamics and Control

Instrumentation forms the basis of every industry. Being a Chemical Engineer, while handling plant operations, only the understanding of the process is not enough. Understanding of the basic instrumentation involved is equally important. So here is a course including all the basic information about the characteristics of instruments that is essential for a chemical engineer.

Static and Dynamic Characteristics of Instrumentation

Stability of chemical process systems is a very important concern for every design engineer. This course will include the stability criterions and the methods used such as Routh and Bode Stability criterions. (Hindi) Stability Analysis of Control Systems - GATE (Chemical)

Understanding what process control is for,  learning about standard functions, Laplace Transform, derivations and their uses in solving differential equations, linearization and it's concept, open-loop systems, closed-loop control systems, stability, frequency response, controller tuning, advanced control systems.

This course provides detailed knowledge about design of various constituents of a chemical plant and the required design calculations.
