Refer to the data below and answer the questions that follow.
Following are the criteria to get selected for the Ph.D. course in a University.
1) The candidate must be a Post Graduate with at least 65% marks (first class) from a recognized University.
2) The candidate must be below 27 years of age as of 16th July 2019.
3) The candidate must deposit a refundable caution fee of Rs.25,000.
If a candidate fulfills all the above criteria, he/she will be selected.
However, if a candidate fulfills all the above criteria except,
(3) above, but has secured more than 90% marks in P.G, then his application is to be referred to the Dean of the college.
(2) above, but below 30 years of age and is ready to be a part-time lecturer in the same University during the course of his Ph.D. program, then the candidate will be selected.
(1) above, but above 80% in graduation then, the candidate has to appear and pass a written exam conducted by the University on its own campus.
In all other cases, the candidate will be rejected.
All these cases are given as of 16th July 2019.
Vritika was born on 3rd August 1990. She is a postgraduate with 67% marks and has secured 87% in her graduation. She can pay the caution fee and is ready to work as a part-time lecturer.
