Article 32 Right To Constitutional Remedy: Understanding Fundamental Rights

This lesson deals with the article 32 of the Indian constitution, covering the Right to Constitutional Remedies. Article 32 was called "the very soul of the constitution and the very heart of it" by Dr. B R Ambedkar and hence, its importance can not be further emphasized. It deals with the Art 32 contains the following four provisions: The right to move the Supreme Court by appropriate proceedings for the enforcement of the Fundamental Rights is guaranteed, The Supreme Court shall have power to issue directions or orders or writs for the enforcement of any of the fundamental rights, Parliament can empower any other court to issue directions, orders and writs of all kinds (not HC, already under 226)
 and The right to move the Supreme Court shall not be suspended except by President during a national emergency (Article 359).
