Ans :For genesis, each amino acid has a single codon to follow. On the other hand, some amino acids have several codons, resulting in a redundant or degenerate structure. This is referred to as genetic code degeneracy. The set of various genetic codes mitochondria contain is one of the better examples we can give here. This variant code differs somewhat from the others.
